The Bergamot Arts Center, formerly known as “Bergamot Station,” is now home to over 30 art galleries and creative businesses. For 78 years, from 1875 to 1953, the location was used as a railroad station for the Los Angeles Railroad, Independence Railroad, and Santa Monica Air Line. When trolley cars stopped running in 1953, the site’s buildings were used as factories and plants. Bergamot Station was established as a creative arts complex in 1994 by Wayne Blank. As of 2016, the site is being managed by Worthe Real Estate Group.

Architectural Resource Consultants (ARC) was hired to provide HDS (High Definition Survey) 3D laser scanning (3DLS) and modeling services to document existing building systems including around all of the exterior façades, on top of all of the roofs, and inside all of the interior spaces. The area of interest for scanning and modeling was a 4-building property in Bergamot that consisted of 21 units that are individually leased.

ARC was later asked to model the interior exposed structural systems from the previously captured scan data.
