The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne is one of the premier resort destinations in all of Miami, Florida. The 12-floor hotel sits on a 1,200-foot long beach that was named as one of “America’s Best Beaches,” according to renowned geoscientist and author Dr. Stephen Leatherman. Additionally, the property houses the largest tennis center of any Ritz-Carlton, with 10 soft clay courts and one hard court designed by tennis legend Cliff Drysdale.
Architectural Resource Consultants was asked by The John Hardy Group to provide as-built services, including 2D CAD plans and a field survey, as part of the resort’s effort to renovate 490 guestrooms. After being awarded the project by The John Hardy Group, ARC representatives arrived in Florida to scan a minimum 38 rooms in their existing conditions. The crew measured interior walls, doors, windows, columns, plumbing fixtures and more. The job lasted one calendar week. Upon rendering of the data to the client’s specifications, AutoCAD and PDF files were delivered, along with 360 degree measurable imagery.
