A new entry sign was going to be created to establish an identity for a newly constructed Customs and Border Protection Building at the San Bernardino Int’l Airport. The sign will also serve to help conceal an existing fire suppression storage tank and pump building. In order to design the new sign, the client needed to know the precise location of the tank on the site.
Architectural Resource Consultants (ARC) was hired to perform an HDS (High Definition Survey) 3D laser scan survey and provide a 3D geometric AutoCAD model of the tank where the sign would be placed.
The 3D laser scans were completed within four hours on-site and the model was delivered within three days of completing the site survey.
