Architectural Resource Consultants (ARC) was hired to provide HDS (High Definition Survey) 3D laser scanning services and an existing beam height report to document existing conditions.

Where beams occurred, ARC documented the height measurement between the floor surface and the bottom of each beam throughout levels B2, B1, G, 2, and 3 of the 6-level parking structure.

The raw scan data was registered, cleaned, and unified to a single point cloud. It was then post-processed into the production of the final deliverables. The client was also provided with slices of the registered point cloud data for use in showing detailed beam inconsistencies, additional beam clearance height values, and topography and slab thickness floor maps of a portion of the existing structure. To meet the specified level of accuracy (LOA) for this project, survey control was required.
