Woodrow Wilson High School was built in the early 1920s and first opened its doors in 1926. It is part of the Long Beach Unified School District. The school's auditorium, built in 1925, is approximately 29,300 square feet and consists of a basement, first, balcony, and mezzanine levels.
Architectural Resource Consultants (ARC) was hired to provide High Definition Survey (HDS) 3D laser scanning (3DLS) and modeling services for the creation of an existing conditions building information model (BIM), to a Level of Development (LOD) - LOD200, as defined by the AIA Document E202-2008.
The model was developed for the design team and served as a base file for the creation of construction documents for the auditorium's modernization, accessibility upgrades, structural improvements, system upgrades, and historic preservation.
